Greetings from Clemson: Stitt warming up

CLEMSON, S.C. --- Greetings from lovely Tigertown, where Maryland and Clemson will meet in another hour.

Everyone who is supposed to be in attendance is here for the Terrapins. And Clemson guard Demontez Stitt is warming up for the Tigers.

Still no word whether he plays or not. But he is dressed for the game.

More to come as afternoon turns into evening.

Road to Clemson It's a week of fun road trips, featuring only the easiest places in the ACC to reach. Namely, Clemson and Florida State. First up is tonight's visit to Death Valley. Maryland (14-5, 4-1 ACC) can remain alone atop the conference with a victory, and chances are the Terrapins won't have to deal with Demontez Stitt. That doesn't mean they won't have to deal with Trevor Booker. Check back in a little bit for more Maryland coverage once I make it into Tigertown ... weather cooperating, of course.

Halftime: Clemson winning ugly CLEMSON, S.C. --- Well, let's never speak of that half again. Actually, that isn't an option because there will still be a game to write about later. But the first 20 minutes weren't pretty. At least unless you were Jerai Grant or Jordan Williams. Clemson is up 29-22 after a half high on ugly and low on artistry. There have been 23 turnovers and 21 field goals, which just begins to assess the unpleasantness so far. Demontez Stitt isn't playing for Clemson, and he might be having a better game than the other notable stars. Trevor Booker has a point...
