This is becoming kind of old hat, but Maryland's Greivis Vasquez won his third ACC player of the week award in four weeks and his fourth of the season thanks to his 41-point outburst at Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Jordan Williams, meanwhile, was named the ACC's rookie of the week for the second time after averaging 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in a pair of victories for Maryland.
For those looking for a Vasquez-related nugget, here's the ACC's career leaders in player of the week award winners:
12: Antawn Jamison, North Carolina (1996-98)
12: J.J. Redick, Duke (2003-06)
11: Tim Duncan, Wake Forest (1994-97)
10: Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina (2006-09)
9: David Thompson, N.C. State (1973-75)
8: Greivis Vasquez, Maryland (2007-present)
That's pretty incredible company - thanks for keeping us updated. All hail The General!

I was wondering. How many players have won ACC POW 4 times in a season, and how many of those have gone on to win POY?

An excellent question with an interesting answer that warrants its own entry within the next half hour. Hows that sound?
