Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen said redshirt freshman Dave Stinebaugh has an MCL injury and will likely miss at least a month.
"Right now, he has an MCL and he's going to see the doctor today," Friedgen said on the ACC teleconference. "Right now, we don't think it will end up being operated on. We're going to get him examined today to see how serious it is."
Friedgen said if Stinebaugh doesn't require surgery, team medical personnel believe he will miss four-to-six weeks.
Stinebaugh has four receptions for 42 yards this season. Maryland will likely try to offset his absence with the return of sophomore Devonte Campbell, who has not played this season because of knee and shoulder injuries.
