The Maryland football team will visit Virginia Tech in its final season as a member of the ACC.
The ACC announced the opponents for all 14 schools Friday morning. Game dates will be revealed at a later time. Last year, the full schedule was not announced until late February, though the ACC said today a full schedule announcement is anticipated early next month.
The Terrapins will visit Florida State, N.C. State and Wake Forest --- all schools they played host to in 2012 --- as well as Virginia Tech. It will be the Terps' first meeting with the Hokies since a 36-9 loss in 2009.
Maryland will meet Boston College, Clemson, Syracuse and Virginia at home. Syracuse, which joins the ACC this year, will play in the Atlantic Division. A visit from the Orange balances the Terps' home/road split of division games.
The Terps played at Boston College, Clemson and Virginia last season.
The only thing that seems certain is Maryland's league schedule will begin after its nonconference slate is complete. The Terps are set to play Florida International (Aug. 31) and Old Dominion (Sept. 7) at home, Connecticut (Sept. 14) on the road and West Virginia (Sept. 21) at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium in the season's first four weeks.
