The Maryland football team's already thin senior class is now even smaller.
Defensive end Isaiah Ross was suspended for a year because of a violation of university policy (a decision that effectively ends his career with the Terrapins), while offensive lineman Pete White will no longer play football but will continue to pursue his degree at the school.
Maryland informally has 10 scholarship seniors on its roster and 82 players total.
Ross made four assisted tackles last season in six games. He had 39 tackles in 28 career games at Maryland, starting the 2011 opener against Miami. Ross missed much of the final month of the 2009 season with a torn ACL and all but one game in 2011 with another knee injury.
White appeared in only three games as a redshirt junior, mostly on special teams. He played in 23 career games at Maryland, starting one game at right guard in 2010 and six more at left guard in 2011.

Too bad for him, are there any insights on what violation of the University's policy he had committed?
