Maryland will open its 2013 football season with a pair of afternoon games at Byrd Stadium.
The Terrapins' Aug. 31 opener against Florida International will start at 12:30 p.m. and be televised by the ACC's regional sports networks (including, in all likelihood, Comcast SportsNet in Baltimore and Washington).
A week later, Maryland will play a 4 p.m. game against Old Dominion that will be streamed by ESPN3. It will be Maryland's latest start time since a November 2011 night contest against Notre Dame, a span of 16 games.
The Sept. 14 game at Connecticut falls under the television contract of the American Athletic Conference (formerly the Big East). The start time and television assignment for that game will be announced at a later date.
