Duke and Syracuse met five times in lacrosse before the 2009 season.
Monday will mark the fifth meeting in five seasons between the soon-to-be ACC foes. It will also be the sixth time in the series' 10-game history the teams have played on a neutral field.
Only two of the previous meetings were decided by more than three goals --- a game in 1938 and the only final four meeting between the two, Syracuse's 17-7 thrashing of the Blue Devils in the 2009 semifinals.
