The ACC's bowl season is over --- the league wound up 4-5, with two of its nine postseason teams sliding below .500 in the process --- and so too are the D1scourse picks for the season.
The bowl season verdict: 7-2, with a pair of admitted gambles for very different reasons not coming through.
Boston College seemed like a good choice to keep things close against a one-loss Nevada team. That wasn't a terrible guess --- the Eagles, as they often do, played a game decided by single digits --- but the Wolf Pack collected a 20-13 victory.
The other miss was Clemson, which yet again goes to show that predicting the Tigers to do anything is a complete fool's errand.
But the overall record, both for the bowls and the season, wasn't terrible. Heck, I was even 12-1 in picking Maryland games, though a few people I know will dwell on the one misfire (the opener). No matter, though.
Season record: 79-27 (36-12 ACC + 1-0 in title game + 7-2 in bowl games)
