A piece of Mason's conference schedule puzzle is filled in

A little George Mason basketball update that doesn't involve the Patriots' trip to the other side of the pond.

The CAA basketball schedule --- at least in terms of dates --- has apparently been approved. That would be why UNC Wilmington announced its league schedule on Thursday.

That includes a home-and-home with George Mason, including a trip to Fairfax on Dec. 4 to open the conference schedule. Mason returns to Wilmington on Feb. 9.

(The Seahawks, it should be noted, also have a home-and-home with Towson. The first game is Jan. 22 in Wilmington, while the Tigers get a home game on Feb. 12 that hopefully will not be delayed by a blizzard like last year).

Anyway, this sets up Mason's schedule to look a little something like this:

Nov. 18-19, 21: at Charleston Classic (with Charlotte, East Carolina, Georgetown, N.C. State, Wofford and two teams TBA)
Nov. 24: Radford
Nov. 27: Florida Atlantic
