A little tidbit from college football guru Phil Steele, who has his midseason all-conference teams out.
For Maryland, wideout Torrey Smith, defensive tackle Joe Vellano, linebacker Alex Wujciak and punt returner Tony Logan earned a first-team nod. Linebacker Adrian Moten and safety Kenny Tate were second-team picks.
Steele had a third team (thus accounting for a quarter of the starters in the conference), but the Terps didn't place anyone on that team.
From a conference-wide standpoint, N.C. State's Russell Wilson was the first-team quarterback, with North Carolina's T.J. Yates on the second team and Virginia Tech's Tyrod Taylor and Georgia Tech's Joshua Nesbitt the co-third team picks.
