Maryland's Ralph Friedgen (coach of the year) and Danny O'Brien (rookie of the year) collected honors from the ACC on Tuesday.
Friedgen earned his second conference coach of the year award; he previously won in 2001. O'Brien, who started the last nine games for Maryland, became the first Terp to win the rookie of the year award since it was instituted in 1975.
Friedgen led Maryland to a six-win improvement, which is tied for the third best in ACC history.

Mr. D1scourse is aware of my alma mater affiliation. So I can speak with some degree of credibility when I say that those who voted for Josh Harris for rookie of the year were either misguided or delusional. O'Brien should have been unanimous.
