Da'Rel Scott scores touchdown in Senior Bowl

Former Maryland running back Da'Rel Scott scored the only touchdown for the North team in its 24-10 loss in Saturday's Senior Bowl.

Scott had five carries for 15 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown run, and added a 34-yard reception.

Scott's performance came a week after he had one carry for five yards in the East-West Shrine game.

Maryland has one more senior scheduled to play in an all-star game; linebacker Adrian Moten was invited to the NFLPA game next week in San Antonio.

Such was the case Saturday when George Washington rallied past Saint Louis at the Smith Center. Fortunately, the Billikens are coached by the scathingly candid Rick Majerus, who had two of his top returning players (Kwamain Mitchell and Willie Reed) suspended before the season and another (Femi John) derailed by knee injuries. Terps dabbling in double-digit road wins at unusual pace ATLANTA --- Maryland has played four conference road games. It has won three of them by double figures. That is a good percentage. The Terrapins' 74-63 defeat of Georgia Tech on Sunday follows up Thursday's 66-42 rout of Virginia. Earlier in the season, Maryland won 74-55 at Wake Forest.
