David Walker leaves Terps for Indianapolis Colts

Maryland football coach Randy Edsall has one more spot to fill on his staff after all.

Edsall said running backs coach David Walker, who was hired last month, accepted a position with the Indianapolis Colts.

"David, I've known for years," Edsall said Wednesday. "When I was coaching, he was a player at Syracuse and was a great addition for the little bit of time we had him. He just got an opportunity to go to Indianapolis."

Walker joined Maryland's staff after a long stint at Pittsburgh.

Edsall said he hoped to have a replacement for Walker hired by the end of the weekend.
