Stoglin goes for 25 in back-to-back games

Terrell Stoglin scored 25 points in Maryland's 87-80 defeat of N.C. State on Sunday. It was his second straight 25-point game; he had exactly that total at Virginia Tech on Tuesday.

In doing so, he became the sixth ACC player to secure consecutive 25-point nights this season.

He is also the first Terps to produce back-to-back 25-point outings since Greivis Vasquez did so last February against Virginia (30) and N.C. State (26).

Stoglin collects ACC rookie of the week honor Maryland guard Terrell Stoglin was named the ACC's rookie of the week after averaging 25.0 points and 7.5 assists in games against Virginia Tech and N.C. State. And as an interesting side note, Maryland at long last has collected more rookie of the week awards in the post-Joe Smith era than Smith himself earned in 1993-94 (six). Indeed, Maryland is on a little run of sorts. Stoglin and Jordan Williams (two) have combined for three rookie of the week awards in the last 13 months. In the previous 15+ seasons, the Terps had totaled only four such honors. ACC ROOKIES...
